Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALAN (SCOTTY) MORTON Mr. Alan (Scotty) Morton, age 89 years a resident of Thunder Bay, ON passed away unexpectedly in St. Joseph's Care Group on Monday, June 11, 2007 with his son Patrick at his side. Born October 7, 1917 in Dumfries, Scotland he had been a resident of Thunder Bay since 1923. Scotty was a member of Port Arthur Branch #5, Royal Canadian Legion and the Thunder Bay Naval Association. He served with the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War. He will be remembered by his only son Patrick of Ottawa, ON, nephew Craig Coutsey, nephew Bill Hodgson, nephew Michael Bemben and nephew Marc Marsil, niece Barbara Duke (nee Hodgson) and niece Deborah Thorlakson (nee Bemben), brother-in-law Charles Bemben and sister-in-law Bebe Hodgson. Predeceased by his wife Jean in 1998, his parents, James and Elizabeth Morton and by a sister Mona. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 22 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sargent Son Funeral Chapel, 21 North Court Street with Archdeacon Mark S. Conliffe, Legion Padre presiding. Interment will follow in the Military Plot, Riverside Cemetery. Port Arthur Branch #5, Royal Canadian Legion and the Thunder Bay Navel Association will hold their service of tribute in conjunction with the funeral service. As expressions of sympathy the family respectfully requests memorials to the Port Arthur Branch #5 Legion Building Fund or to the Thunder Bay Naval Association Heritage Fund.
